Welcome to this week's Sunshine Coast Fishing Report. We have been enjoying some beautiful clear days this week which have been perfect for fishing. We are expecting this trend to continue, however temps are set to drop over the coming week, making for some cold starts!
Offshore
Offshore fishos have enjoyed a rewarding week, with reports of Cobia, Snapper, and Amberjack catches at Caloundra Wide. Closer to Caloundra, anglers have had success with Snapper and Sweetlip. Infront of Moreton Island has been a hotspot for Mulloway, Amberjack, Snapper, and Moses Perch. The Barwon Banks are also delivering good catches of reef fish, including Snapper, Pearl Perch, Tuskfish, Amberjack and Sweetlip.
Noosa
In the Noosa River, we've continued to hear reports of good Bream and Whiting catches in the lower reaches. Trevally are still active in Woods Bay, and Flathead are being caught around the Frying Pan area. There's been plenty of action around the boat ramp and marina at Tewantin too, making it a great spot to wet a line this weekend.
Maroochy
The Maroochy River has been productive, with some nice Trevally reported around the bridge and ski zone. Some Tailor have also been caught around the bridge pylons. Plenty of Flathead and Bream are being caught throughout the river, with Whiting and Tailor at the mouth. Creeks running of the river have been quiet this week.
Caloundra
On the beaches around Caloundra, anglers have reported catches of Dart, Whiting, Bream and Tailor. In the Passage, good catches of Bream and Flathead continue to be reported. Those chasing Mulloway have been rewarded with a few mid-size models caught in the passage over the past week.
