Welcome to this week's Sunshine Coast Fishing Report! The upcoming week isn't looking great, with windy and cold conditions forecasted from tomorrow through to next weekend. A cold snap will make early morning and night fishing sessions quite challenging, so be sure to dress warmly! While offshore fishing is pretty much off the table, inshore anglers will still get a chance to wet a line by finding a sheltered spot. On a brighter note, we aren't expecting any rain over the next week! Remember, the Snapper and Pearl Perch closure runs from 15 July to 15 August and applies to all tidal waters in Queensland.
Offshore
The past week has seen plenty of great catches thanks to some perfect weather. There have been reports of plenty of Tuskfish, Snapper and Pearl Perch at the Hards, Sunshine Reef and North Reef. Those fishing Sunshine and North Reefs have also reported some nice Sweetlip and a few Tuna. The Barwon Banks was the spot for Amberjack and Snapper, while Snapper and Pearl Perch were also reported at Caloundra Wide. Remember, the Snapper and Pearl Perch closure begins next week.
Noosa
Fishing has improved in Noosa over the past week, with plenty of catches reported. Bream continue to be caught in good numbers, while some nice sized Flathead have been reported at the mouth. Woods Bay has been the spot for some nice sized GTs.
Maroochy
The last week of school holiday saw some nice catches in the Maroochy River, including Jewfish, Tailor and Whiting at the mouth and Trevally from the ski run to the Cod Hole. Flathead have also been reported on the flats and at creek entrances.
Caloundra
Flathead and Bream continue to make up the bulk of the catches at Caloundra, with plenty reported in the passage.
Beach
Beach fishos have enjoyed some calmer conditions, with plenty of Dart, Whiting, Flathead, Jewfish and Bream caught from the gutters. Avoiding the wind will be key over the next week, so make sure you check the weather report before heading out!
That wraps up this week's fishing report. Make sure you tag is in your catches on Instagram and Facebook.
